You can find the perfect spot to fish at one of six lakes in City parks.
You must have a fishing license from the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, & Tourism to fish in City parks if you’re between the ages of 16 and 74.
The city’s two largest lakes, South Lake and Kingston Lake, feature fishing piers.
Non-motorized boats are allowed on the water.
While the types of fish in each lake vary, the city has posted signs at the lakes that outline creel limits and other restrictions. Some of the varieties of fish include crappie, largemouth bass, and channel catfish.
