Overland Park offers many events where you can enjoy live music, children’s performances, and more.
Many of these shows are hosted together with other community organizations, including the Arts & Recreation Foundation of Overland Park.
This free summer concert series brings talented and engaging musicians to the picturesque Thompson Park stage on the second Thursday of the month.
Children’s concerts are free and open to the public. Each show includes interactive music, storytelling, puppet shows, and other children’s performances.
The Overland Park Orchestra is a volunteer orchestra sponsored in part by the City of Overland Park.
Since its inception in 1973, the orchestra has played for children and adults at a variety of venues. The group also performs at a regular Halloween concert with a costume parade for children.
The Overland Park Civic Band is a long-standing musical ensemble, entertaining audiences since 1938. Made up of amateur and professional musicians from across the Kansas City metropolitan area, the band offers free, public concerts featuring classical and contemporary music. These family-friendly performances take place seasonally, providing an opportunity for the community to enjoy high-quality live music in an open-air setting.
Each year, the Fall Festival draws in tens of thousands of residents and visitors to Downtown Overland Park to experience live music and performances, a craft fair, food, and more.
