Make a splash this week!
Three of Overland Park’s outdoor pools close for the season on August 6:
- Bluejacket Pool, 10101 Bond St.
- Stonegate Pool, 9701 Antioch Rd.
- Young’s Pool, 8421 W. 77th St.
Beginning August 7, Tomahawk Ridge Aquatic Center will operate Monday-Friday from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 12-7 p.m. through September 2.
Pool memberships purchased for the 2024 season provide guests access to all outdoor City pools. Swimmers, divers and loungers who typically visit Bluejacket, Stonegate or Young’s Pool are welcome to continue using their pool memberships at Tomahawk Ridge Aquatic Center between August 7 and September 2.
Looking to make a splash after September 2? The indoor pools at Matt Ross Community Center remain open year-round.
Bluejacket Pool to close after 2024 season
Bluejacket Pool will permanently close on August 6, at the end of the 2024 outdoor pool season. The pool has reached the end of its useful life, as outlined in the Overland Park Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
To commemorate Bluejacket Pool’s service to the community, the City will hold a Final Splash Bash on August 6 from 5-7 p.m. The event will feature pool games, music, treats and more. Admission will be free.
Overland Park’s three other outdoor pools, Stonegate Pool, Tomahawk Ridge Aquatic Center and Young’s Pool, will reopen next year.
