Every drop counts!
Mark your calendars for an opportunity to make a life-saving donation at the City of Overland Park’s Community Blood Drive, hosted in partnership with the American Red Cross. Join fellow heroes on Wednesday, May 29 between 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Myron E. Scafe building, located at 8500 Antioch Rd.
The Red Cross encourages donors of all blood types to attend, especially individuals with types O Negative, A Negative, and B Negative. Each blood donation, which typically takes about an hour, can provide approximately one pint of blood.
Those wishing to donate may make an appointment online. Walk-ins will also be accepted.
Blood is a perishable product that can only be obtained through volunteer donations. According to the Red Cross, someone in the United States needs blood every two to three seconds. By donating, you directly contribute to saving lives in your community and beyond.
