Have a broken item at home that you’re not quite ready to give up on?
Instead of tossing it out, bring it to the next Repair Café on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Matt Ross Community Center, 8101 Marty.
Hosted by Re.Use.Full, the Repair Café is a free event where skilled volunteers will give new life to your broken or damaged items, including clothing, jewelry, small furniture, computers, lamps, small appliances, toys, bicycles and more.
This event is part of a global movement to reduce waste and foster sustainability, with more than 2,500 Repair Cafés worldwide, each offering an opportunity for people to learn new skills, connect with their community and make a positive impact on the environment by choosing to repair rather than replace.
