Get ready to go green! Join us at the Recycling Extravaganza on Saturday, October 14, on the Black & Veatch campus at 11401 Lamar Ave. between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Recycle and donate items not collected by routine curbside recycling that may otherwise end up in a landfill.
The following items will be accepted at the Recycling Extravaganza for recycling:
- Confidential documents ($5 suggested donation per box)
- E-waste, including computers, laptops, LCD monitors, scanners and fax machines, keyboards and mice, DVR cable and satellite, hard drives and solid state drives, VCR, DVD and BluRay players, cell phones, tablets, printers, copiers, microwaves, vacuums, small kitchen appliances including mini refrigerators, window AC units, and humidifiers
- Medications
- Televisions ($20 per TV)
All donated items must be in good condition. The following items will be accepted at the Recycling Extravaganza as donations:
- Clothing
- Building materials (Usable project leftovers or remodel removals)
- Toys
- Furniture
- Eyeglasses (Prescription, readers, or sunglasses)
- Musical instruments (No pianos, organs, or drums)
- Shoes
- Fabric (Unused yardage, remnants, precuts, partially completed quilt tops; notions: thread, needles, pins, scissors, cutters, mats, rulers; knitting & crochet: yarn, needles, hooks)
- Bikes
- Gently used mattresses and box springs ($10 per piece)
- Pet Supplies
