Monday night the Overland Park City Council appointed a new council member for Ward 4, Stacie Gram.
The City Council appointed Gram to fill a vacant City Council seat following a selection process through Council Vacancy Screening Committee and Committee of the Whole interviews.
City Clerk Elizabeth Kelley swore in Council Member Gram at the beginning of Monday’s night’s City Council meeting.
Gram moved to Overland Park as an elementary school student and is a graduate of the Shawnee Mission School District and University of Kansas. Gram is a healthcare attorney and has been involved professionally with the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce and personally with the Blue Valley School District. She has lived in Ward 4 for 20 years.
Former Council Member Gina Burke resigned in March after moving out of the city.
Gram will complete the unexpired Ward 4 term on the City Council until January 10, 2022, when the position will be filled by the candidate elected at the November 2021 city election.
