We’re embarking on a journey to refresh the plan that lays out the future of Overland Park’s parks and recreation amenities.
Playbook OP, Overland Park’s updated long-range plan will serve as a roadmap for meeting the current and future needs of Overland Park, covering everything from aquatics and community centers to green spaces and recreational activities.
The Playbook OP planning process is underway, with community engagement opportunities including public meetings, focus groups and a steering committee.
Your input is crucial. Join us for the Playbook OP Community Meeting on Dec. 11 from 5-7 p.m. at Matt Ross Community Center, 8101 Marty Street, and help shape the future of Overland Park’s most treasured places.
Together, we can create a vibrant and inclusive parks and recreation system that reflects the desires and needs of our community. Share what makes your Parks and Recreation experience memorable in this short survey.
Creation of the plan is scheduled to wrap up in late 2024 when the City will begin implementing steps in the plan.
