A long-awaited, state-of-the-art event venue and visitor center at the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens is ready to open its doors. Join elected officials, donors, Arboretum staff, volunteers and community members in celebrating the grand opening of LongHouse Visitor Center on Saturday, September 9 at 10 a.m.
Surrounded by picturesque scenery, LongHouse is a brand new, 21,000-square-foot visitor center, welcoming guests to the Arboretum with panoramic views of beautiful gardens, woodlands and ponds.
The new building features a contemporary design with floor-to-ceiling windows and houses a variety of spaces to gather, including a banquet hall, meeting rooms, a gift shop, Café Celeste, terraces and patios.
Following its grand opening, LongHouse will serve as the new entrance to the Arboretum. This one-of-a-kind destination venue is an ideal gathering space for weddings, celebrations and corporate meetings.
The building is named for Janet Long, a major donor to the project and long-time contributor to the arts and cultural assets of Overland Park.
In celebration of the grand opening, admission to the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens is free opening weekend, September 9-10. Learn more about LongHouse Visitor Center at opkansas.org/Longhouse.
