Final days of Farmstead fun: Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead closes for the season Oct. 31

Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead closes for the season on October 31. Don’t miss the opportunity to soak up the final days of fall farm fun:

Pumpkin Hollow – Daily through Oct. 31

Hop on a horse-drawn hayride, conquer the hay pyramid, slide down the giant hay slide and enjoy a variety of lawn games. Don’t forget to pick out the perfect pumpkin to take home as a cherished fall souvenir.

Pumpkin Hollow is open every day at 10 a.m. through Oct. 31. On weekdays, the fun continues until 3 p.m., while on weekends, Pumpkin Hollow hours extend until 4 p.m. Tickets cost $10 per person or $9 for Friends of the Farmstead members. There is no charge for children under the age of one.

Night of the Living Farm – October 27-28 from 5:30-9 p.m.

If you’re up for some spine-tingling excitement, experience the Farmstead after dark during Night of the Living Farm. This event promises a night of “spooktacular” fun for all ages, including scary and non-scary activities and live entertainment.

Mark your calendar for Night of the Living Farm on Oct. 27-28 from 5:30-9 p.m. Purchase tickets online on the Arts & Recreation Foundation of Overland Park website.

Don’t worry! You don’t have to wait until spring to stop by your favorite farmstead.

Put your whole family in the holiday spirit at Holiday Lights on Farmstead Lane. Pack cocoa, cookies and blankets as you watch the spectacular light show dance across the front entrance of the Farmstead. Holiday Lights on the Farmstead begins November 23 and runs nightly from 5-10 p.m. through December 31.

As we close the barn doors on another Farmstead season of memories, we look forward to creating more memories with family, friends and animals again in the spring.
