Visitors to some Overland Park Parks and Recreation amenities may notice an increase in fee prices beginning in April 2023.
Fees will be increasing for services at the following facilities:
- Thompson Park – stage rentals
- Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead – admission prices, birthday parties and pavilion rental
- Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens – admission prices and rental spaces
- Pools – outdoor pool admission, memberships and swim lessons
- Community Centers – admission, memberships, group exercise, personal training, rental spaces and child watch

The City reviews and updates fees on a regular basis. The cost of operating our facilities has increased and thus, fees are increasing.
Parks and Recreation fees operate on a cost recovery model, meaning our rates are as low as possible while still covering the department’s operating and maintenance costs.
