City to begin branding update, with your help

The City of Overland Park is beginning a process to update its brand.

Overland Park’s existing brand, “Above and Beyond. By Design.” was developed in 2007 as a joint project between the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, Visit Overland Park and the City of Overland Park.

Since that time, the city has grown and changed substantially.

During the Forward OP community visioning process, and Framework OP comprehensive plan update, the City heard feedback from residents regarding the City’s future.

Residents shared a need to develop individual neighborhoods’ and the community’s identity.

“With a new community-driven vision, Overland Park is ready to refresh how we concisely communicate who we are and who we want to be. Join us by sharing your passion for our City,” said Mayor Curt Skoog.

The City’s branding update is now underway. Staff are currently researching existing attitudes, thoughts and feelings toward Overland Park’s brand.
