Whether you are an amateur or a professional artist, now is your chance to get creative!
This citywide Chalk the Walk contest kicked off August 1 with the theme “All are Welcome.” Participants are encouraged to create works of art using sidewalk chalk in front of their homes, in their neighborhoods, and around their neighborhood schools throughout Overland Park.
Submissions will be accepted through August 15. Online voting for each category will take place August 17-24, with winners announced August 25.
Participants may submit multiple entries, but each work of art may only be entered into one award category:
- Best Use of Theme
- Best Use of a Sidewalk Blemish
- Youth Ages 8 & Under
- Youth Ages 9-13
Winners in each category will receive passes to their favorite Overland Park attractions.
