As the holiday season comes to a close, it’s time to bid farewell to your holiday tree.
Why not recycle it? The City offers convenient drop-off locations to recycle your tree now through Jan. 12, 2025!
Instead of ending up in a landfill, your tree will be turned into mulch and used to beautify City parks and the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, leaving our parks and trails smelling fragrant for weeks to come.
Before dropping off your tree, please remove all decorations, including lights, tinsel and ornaments. Remember, artificial trees are not accepted.
Drop off your tree at the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. at any of the following locations:
By recycling your holiday tree, you’re helping create a greener, more sustainable Overland Park while keeping our parks beautiful year-round.
