The westbound I-435 to northbound U.S. 69 ramp will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Jan. 17 to allow crews to replace an impact attenuator, or barrier used to reduce damage from collisions, as part of the 69 Express project. Detours will be marked.
The Kansas Department of Transportation’s project will build a new express lane in each direction adjacent to the existing general-purpose lanes to increase safety and improve congestion in the area. Additional work is also taking place at U.S. 69 and the 167th Street interchange as part of the project.
