All westbound lanes as well as the inside eastbound lanes of 135th Street will close from 7 p.m. on Friday, May 10 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 11.
The eastbound 135th Street and westbound inside lanes will close from 7 p.m. on Monday, May 13 to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14.
These closures allow for bridge girder setting as part of the 69 Express project. Detours will be marked.
The Kansas Department of Transportation’s project will build a new express toll lane in each direction adjacent to the existing general-purpose lanes to increase safety and improve congestion in the area. The express lanes will open to traffic by the end of 2025. Additional work is also taking place at U.S. 69 and the 167th Street interchange as part of the project.
