The 119th Street to southbound U.S. 69 entrance ramp and southbound U.S. 69 lanes between 119th Street and Blue Valley Parkway will be fully closed to traffic overnight from:
- 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 29 to 6 a.m. Thursday, May 30.
- 7 p.m. Thursday, May 30 to 6 a.m. Friday, May 31.
Both directions of 119th Street under U.S. 69 will be fully closed Friday, May 31-Monday, June 3 for temporary roadway construction. Ramps will remain open to right-turn-only movements, and detours will be marked. The lanes are scheduled to reopen by 6 a.m. on June 3.
The Kansas Department of Transportation’s project will build a new express toll lane in each direction adjacent to the existing general-purpose lanes to increase safety and improve congestion in the area. The express lanes will open to traffic by the end of 2025. Additional work is also taking place at U.S. 69 and the 167th Street interchange as part of the project.
