Overland Park’s street sweepers clean more than two thousand lane miles of streets and the same number of cul-de-sacs each year between March and December.
The frequency of street sweeping varies by street and is based on traffic levels.
Main thoroughfares are swept every six to eight weeks. Residential streets are swept twice each year. Additional sweeping is done in preparation for street improvement projects and other large events.
This map shows the months each area in Overland Park is scheduled for its next sweeping. Areas that have been swept are marked with a check.
To report unusual circumstances, such as broken glass, submit a request through OPCares, the city’s online customer service system, with a description of the problem, location and any other pertinent information.
