Crime-Free Multi-Housing

The crime-free multi-housing program is a joint venture between apartment complex management and the police department to reduce crime, drugs, and gang activity in apartment complexes through the city.

For an apartment complex to become a certified crime-free multi-housing property, it must complete three phases of training under police supervision:

  1. Train all apartment personnel on the program,
  2. Undergo a free security survey conducted by the police department, and
  3. Host a community awareness safety social.

Once all steps have been completed, property management can advertise the program to its tenants.

Learn more about the program or get your community involved by contacting Officer Bill Koehn at 913-895-6290.
