Vendor Payments
The City of Overland Park implemented an electronic accounts payable solution to pay its suppliers through Paymode-X to ensure secure, efficient and timely delivery of your payments.
If you currently receive payment via ACH, and want to continue this payment method, you will need to sign up with Paymode-X, or your payment method will default to paper check.
Enrollment
To enroll, authorized users will need a valid email address and your company’s U.S. tax ID number. Begin the enrollment process below.
Memberships
Paymode-X is a digital disbursement option (ACH or Virtual Card) where members exchange payments and remittance information electronically. Paymode-X offers three different memberships:
- Paymode-X Basic/Standard
Basic/Standard is free to vendors and offers the following features and benefits:
• Payment notification via email 24 hours prior to receipt
• Mitigation of risk of payment fraud, account takeover and email compromise
• Access to audited payment detail 24/7
• Ability to update account information online
• Payment Tracker- Paymode-X Premium or Virtual Card
Paymode-X Premium requires a network use fee and offers the following features and benefits:
• Payment notification via email 24 hours prior to receipt
• Mitigation of risk of payment fraud, account takeover and email compromise
• Access to audited payment detail 24/7
• Ability to update account information online
• Payment Tracker
• Rich remittance detail in format of your choice
• Voice-enabled mobile app for easy access to payment information
• Request payment status online
• “My Payers” functionally to track and trend your largest customers
• Ability to easily share critical documents via the portal, such as W-8 & W-9 • Searchable graphical and list views of payment data
• Vendor Connect – enables Payers in the network to find your business

- Are there any fees associated with Paymode-X?
Paymode-X Basic is free to vendors.
Paymode-X Premium or Virtual Card requires a network use fee assess to suppliers for each transaction received through the network. The network use fee is a Paymode-X cost, not a City of Overland Park fee. - Who do I contact for Paymode-X questions?
For enrollment questions, contact the Paymode-X Enrollment Team at 866-252-7366 or [email protected]. The Enrollment Team can assist with any questions about the enrollment process and setting up vendor membership.
For post-enrollment questions, contact Paymode-X Member Services. This team can answer any questions post-enrollment about a vendor’s membership details, how to process payments and pull reports. - What do I do if I'm not receiving payment notification emails?
All Paymode-X payment notifications and reminders are sent from [email protected]. If you are not receiving these notifications, please check your spam/junk folders and filters.
