Kick off your holiday season with a festive morning of shopping, delicious treats and community cheer at the Holiday Market on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Overland Park Farmers’ Market. This special event features all the farm-fresh produce and local foods you love, plus a delightful holiday twist!
This year’s Holiday Market also marks a significant milestone. It will be the final market held at the current pavilion before the City begins a major renovation project. Join us in celebrating the market’s history and saying goodbye to the pavilion.
During the event, attendees can write farewell messages on the pavilion, creating a lasting tribute to this cherished space. The pavilion will be donated to Garnett, Kansas, where it will continue to serve as a farmers’ market structure.
Overland Park Mayor Curt Skoog will address the community at 11:45 a.m., reflecting on the pavilion’s legacy and sharing details about the exciting future ahead. After the 2024 market season, the City will remove the pavilion to make way for a new market building and downtown gathering space, set to open in spring 2026. The Farmers’ Market will operate at Matt Ross Community Center for the 2025 season.
This event is more than a morning of holiday shopping. It’s an opportunity to come together, celebrate the market’s past, and look forward to the vibrant future of Overland Park Farmers’ Market.
