Whether you’re picking the perfect pumpkin, enjoying a spooky night out or trick-or-treating with your little ghosts and goblins, Overland Park is packed with gourd-geous events to celebrate fall.

Step into the magic of fall at Pumpkin Hollow, a seasonal favorite at Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead. From October 1 through 31, enjoy family-friendly fun with horse-drawn hayrides, a climbable hay pyramid, a giant hay slide and a variety of lawn games. And of course, don’t miss the chance to pick your own perfect pumpkin to take home!
Pumpkin Hollow Hours:
- Weekdays: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Weekends: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Special Closures: Pumpkin Hollow will close early at 3:30 p.m. on October 16 and 26 to prepare for the Night of the Living Farm events.
Tickets to Pumpkin Hollow cost $10 per person or $9 for Friends of the Farmstead members. There is no charge for children ages two and under. Please note, admission to Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead is not included and must be purchased separately.

Night at the Arboretum – Oct. 7 & 21 from 5-9 p.m.
Explore the beauty of the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens after dark! Stargaze with telescopes, enjoy family activities and discover the mysteries of nocturnal wildlife.
Admission is included with your Arboretum ticket. No registration required. Bring the whole family for a night under the stars!
Trunk or Treat with the Police – Oct. 19 from 3-5 p.m.
Join the Overland Park Police Department at City Hall, 8500 Santa Fe, for a spooky and safe Trunk or Treat event! Trick-or-treat from decorated trunks, meet local officers, enjoy music and take part in costume and trunk decoration contests.
Night of the Living Farm – Oct. 18-19 & 25-26 from 5:30-9 p.m.
Ready for some Halloween excitement? Night of the Living Farm is the place to be! From spooky to not-so-scary activities, this after-dark event at Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead offers fun for all ages with live entertainment, music and more.
Mark your calendar for Oct. 18-19 and 25-26, and grab your tickets on the Arts & Recreation Foundation of Overland Park website. Tickets are $15 per person. Children ages two and under are free and don’t require a ticket.
Trick-or-Treat in Downtown OP – Oct. 26 from 1-3 p.m.
Dress up in your favorite costume and head to Downtown Overland Park for an afternoon of trick-or-treating! Visit participating shops, Farmers’ Market vendors and the Clock Tower Plaza for treats and kid-friendly music during this free event!
When the festivities are over, turn your Halloween waste into garden gold by recycling your pumpkins and gourds. Drop off at the Arboretum and the Overland Park Farmers’ Market, Nov. 1-23. Learn more at opkansas.org/PumpkinComposting.
