The spotlight is on City staff during the City of Overland Park’s quarterly Staff Spotlight. During this Staff Spotlight, follow along as Aquatics Supervisor Renee Reis prepared City pools to open for the summer season.
Each quarter, City Communications staff shadow a different staff member to explore their daily tasks, providing a behind-the-scenes look at their work routine. This can range from a maintenance worker fixing streets to a City code enforcement officer documenting code violations.
Recently, Communications staff shadowed Reis as she worked at each of the City’s pools. Her efforts included conducting safety inspections, hosting lifeguard orientation and setting up the Wibits, or inflatables, at Tomahawk Ridge Aquatic Center.
