The Overland Park Star Spangled Spectacular returns to Corporate Woods Founders’ Park, 9711 W. 109th Street., on Monday, July 4.
This year’s event includes concerts, food trucks and a fireworks show.
Jim “Mr. Stinky Feet” Cosgrove will perform at 6 p.m. followed by BIG SHOW Dueling Pianos at 7 p.m. and Nicole Springer at 8:15 p.m.
The fireworks show will begin at approximately 9:45 p.m.
Visitors can enter Corporate Woods Founders’ Park at any time on Independence Day. 109th Street and a portion of Indian Creek Parkway will be closed during the event. Parking is available in any open Corporate Woods parking lot. The Overland Park Police Department will assist with traffic flow, which will exit the park based on parking lot locations.
Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, food, water, and coolers. Alcohol and pop-up tents are prohibited.
The rain date for the fireworks show is Tuesday, July 6.

Fireworks illegal in Overland Park
It is illegal to purchase, possess, or discharge any fireworks in Overland Park.
The following types of fireworks are prohibited:
- Sparklers
- Firecrackers
- Torpedoes
- Skyrockets
- Roman candles
This is not an exhaustive list. Any device that produces a visible or audible effect through combustion or detonation is not allowed in Overland Park.
City ordinance does not prohibit the use of snappers, snakes, toy pistols, or canes with caps.
Any person who violates the ordinance is subject to a fine of up to $500.
