Overland Park named a Money mag best place to live

Money magazine is on to something many in Overland Park have known for a while: Overland Park is one of the best places to live in the county.

The magazine’s Best Places to Live 2021 rankings are out this week, and Overland Park is No. 7 on the nationwide list.

Money magazine highlights where job growth is rising, home prices are affordable, and the quality of life shines each year. It also looks for cities with diversity.

In its story, Money calls Overland Park “the definition of a family-friendly town” – highlighting Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead, the city’s parks and trails system, and entertainment at the Prairiefire development. It also boasts Overland Park’s proximity to the Kansas City metropolitan area, and major employers and job opportunities in the community.

This isn’t the first time the publication recognized Overland Park’s accolades. Recently, Money ranked Overland Park on its list in 2014 and 2018.
