After careful consideration, the City of Overland Park has canceled the Overland Park Fall Festival for 2020.
The Fall Festival, which typically takes place the final weekend in September, draws visitors from across the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Public health and safety are a priority for the City. To help limit the spread of coronavirus, the event is canceled.
This includes the entertainment, craft and food vendors. The parade, which Downtown Overland Park coordinates, is also canceled.
Farmers’ Market to Continue
The Overland Park Farmers’ Market will continue to operate on Saturdays at Matt Ross Community Center, including on Saturday, September 26.
The Market is an essential food provider and will operate without entertainment or activities, as it has for the majority of the market season, through early December.
Visiting Downtown OP
The Fall Festival typically attracts tens of thousands of people to Downtown Overland Park.
Despite the festival’s cancellation, the City encourages residents and visitors to visit, explore and shop Downtown Overland Park. Please visit the Downtown Overland Park website to see a variety of options to visit the area in a safe and distanced fashion.
