Break boxes down flat and stack on edge inside the container.

Moving Boxes

Drop off and pick up usable moving boxes in a separate bin from the rest of our cardboard.

Paperboard

Cereal or cake mix boxes, soft drink cartons, shiny or slick cardboard and phonebooks.

Flatten all containers.

Glass

Food and drink containers only. No light bulbs or ceramics.

Remove caps and lids.

Plastic

Cans

Aluminum and steel food and beverage containers.

Flatten containers if possible.

Office Paper

Copy paper, letterhead, file folders, junk mail and envelopes.

Magazines, Catalogs + Calendars

Newspapers + Newsprint

Including glossy ads, coupons, and packing paper.

Bag in brown grocery bags, which are available on-site.

Scrap Metal

Steel, aluminum, and other metals. No tanks, electronics, appliances, or paint cans.

Used clothing

If suitable for donation.

Holiday Lights

Accepted in December and January only.

Ceramics

Batteries

Alkaline batteries, such as AA, AAA, and D-Cell, can be taken to Midwest Recycling Center for a fee, or safely disposed of with normal household trash.

Electronics

Bring recyclable electronics to the City’s Recycling Extravaganza in the spring or fall.

Light Bulbs

Incandescent, fluorescent tube bulbs, compact fluorescent light bulbs, or LEDS.

Plastic Bags

Recycle these at your local grocery store.

Many office supply stores offer cartridge recycling services.
