“Overview” is the city’s quarterly newsletter for residents. It includes news, things to see and do in Overland Park, valuable information for neighborhoods, recreational and environmental news.
The Overview Spring 2019 will be in mailboxes next week. It includes information on:
- The city’s rental licensing and inspection program, which is helping maintain rental properties and neighborhoods in Overland Park,
- City Council ward changes,
- Requests for state funding to ease congestion on U.S. 69,
- Construction of a new city maintenance facility at U.S. 69 and Antioch,
- A new clubhouse opening this spring at Sykes-Lady Overland Park Golf Club,
- And more.
The spring Overview also includes a list of programs and classes going on within the Parks and Recreation Departments, including:
- Opening Day and Late Night Fishing at Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead,
- Wine Tasting on the Terrace and the Spring Plant Sale at the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens,
- Saturday Morning Swims and extended baby pool hours at city pools,
- Softball, pickleball, kickball, flag football, and soccer leagues at community centers and parks.
