A local land use council will review possibilities for future uses of the Overland Park Convention Center parking lot in a detailed review next week.
The Urban Land Institute – KC District Council will lead a technical assistance panel to create a vision for redevelopment of the parking lot north of the Overland Park Convention Center.
This is one of the first steps outlined in the College and Metcalf study. It begins the process of creating a walkable, engaging, and inviting place for residents and visitors in the College and Metcalf corridor of Overland Park.
The technical assistance panel will spend two days studying the parking lot and considering options.
A public presentation of the review and recommendations is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23, at 5:30 p.m. at the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, 9001 W. 110th Street.
The Urban Land Institute is a non-profit research and education organization focused on responsible and sustainable land uses.
