Rental Hours
Matt Ross Community Center rental rates are defined by the center’s normal operating hours. Rates are classified as
- Regular: 5:30 a.m.- 9 p.m., Monday through Friday,
- Prime: 7 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Sundays, or,
- After-hours: any time outside the above mentioned hours, or when the community center is normally closed. (Currently Unavailable)

Crown, Plaza, + Vista Rooms
The crown, plaza, and vista rooms are the perfect place to host several mid-size, or one large event.
Located on the main level of Matt Ross Community Center, the multipurpose rooms provide easy access to the outdoor terrace, pre-function area, and caterer’s kitchen. Decor includes modern chandeliers with natural soft colors, cherry wood trim, and floor-to-ceiling windows that look toward Downtown Overland Park to the west.
Each room can be reserved individually, with one other room, or all three can be combined for a large event in the multipurpose room.

With elegant simplicity and a soft, natural ambiance, the classrooms offer versatility for learning experiences.
Located on the main level of Matt Ross Community Center, the classroms rooms provide easy access to the entrance, pre-function area, and caterer’s kitchen. Decor includes bright overhead lighting with yellow and blue accents.
One large classroom can accommodate up to 95 people. Or, smaller rooms fit a more quaint group.

Need a professional environment for your next business meeting? The executive conference room is a sophisticated room with up-to-date technology.
Caterer’s Kitchen
The caterer’s kitchen is the perfect place to stage snacks or a meal for your event. It includes a deep freezer, ice machine, refrigerator, three-part sink, microwave, warming oven, and private entrance with parking.
The caterer’s kitchen can be use to warm or refrigerate food for rentals, but is not a full prep kitchen.

Two full-size gymnasiums are available for basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and other gym activities and training.
Explorer Room
Hourly rate: $60
A great place to wear the little ones out, the explorer room has a three-story indoor playground that is open for free to the public during regular operating hours. It is available to rent after hours only.
With direct access to the pool area, Matt Ross Community Center’s party rooms are the perfect place to celebrate your child’s special day.
Discount Packages
Multipurpose Room Package
A rental that includes all three multipurpose rooms for a minimum of six consecutive hours, and the caterer’s kitchen can receive a discount of 20%.
All rental time must be within the regular facility hours.
The hearth room can be added to this package at a 15% discount off the regular price.
After-Hours Full Facility Package
A full facility after-hours rental package is available for $3,000.
This six-hour package includes the hearth room, all multipurpose rooms and classrooms, the caterer’s kitchen, gymnasium, executive conference room, and birthday party rooms. It does not include the pool, fitness area, track, child watch, fitness studios or explorer room.
The pool can be added to the full facility rental package at a cost of $185 per hour with a minimum two-hour rental minimum.
