- Important election dates
- Ballots will be mailed to every Overland Park resident registered to vote before Dec. 30.
Look for it in your mailbox starting Jan. 9.
- Not a registered Overland Park voter? You have until Jan. 14 to register to be a part of this election. If you register between Dec. 31 and Jan. 14, you must contact the Election Office to receive your ballot.
- All ballots must be signed, and the address line on the ballot must be filed out.
- If you're helping someone vote, such as serving as a power of attorney, you must sign the ballot. However, you should not include POA or Power of Attorney after your signature.
- Voters can return ballots to the Election Office as soon as they receive them.
- The Election Office must receive ballots by noon on Tuesday, Jan. 29, so they should be mailed the week of Jan. 21.
- Unofficial results will be tabulated and released on Jan. 29. Results will be official after canvassing the following Friday.
