The City Council recently passed a new ordinance (OPMC 7.26.300) requiring the registration of all single family, duplex or tri-plex rental properties.

The information gathered during the registration process will be used to locate single family, duplex and tri-plex rental properties as well as to provide contact information on the individuals who own the property should the city need to contact them in the event of an emergency or code violation.

To register, the owner will need to pay a yearly, $10 fee per property (Jan. 1-Dec. 31). The fee is due on or before Dec. 31.

After Dec. 31, a penalty of $10 per property will be added for late payments.

Registration

Letters will be mailed to property owners that the county suggests may be rental property owners. These letters will include your project number and password so you can log in and pay online.

If you have not received a letter from the city, please contact Community Services about registering.
