Owners of single family, duplex or tri-plex rental properties are required by city ordinance to register their property with the city.

The information gathered during the registration process will be used to locate single family, duplex and tri-plex rental properties as well as to provide contact information on the individuals who own the property should the city need to contact them in the event of an emergency or code violation.

To register, the owner will need to pay a yearly, $10 fee per property (Jan. 1-Dec. 31). The fee is due on or before Dec. 31. After Dec. 31, a penalty of $10 per property will be added for late payments.

The 2009 registration deadline has passed; all payments now include a $10 late fee per property or unit.

Letters have been mailed to property owners that the county suggests may be rental property owners.

If you have not received a letter from the city, please contact Community Services about registering.
