The City of Overland Park offers a property tax rebate program for eligible Overland Park residents. The program’s goal is to help those in need of assistance continue to afford to live in their homes.
The program offers a rebate of up to 75% of city property taxes. Overland Park’s share of the average home’s property taxes is equal to $832.
Applications for fall 2025 are now closed.
Approved applicants will receive their rebates as checks in the mail by the end of November.

Property taxes must be paid in full prior to the City providing a rebate. Most residents will pay their property taxes in two installments. The first installment is in December. The second installment is in May. Both payments must be paid before the City will provide the rebate.
