The Arts & Recreation Foundation helps develop and promote the various parks and recreation facilities and programs that enhance the educational, scientific and cultural experiences of residents and visitors.

This includes raising money and accepting donations for capital improvement projects through the Friends of the Arboretum, Friends of the Farmstead and Friends of the Overland Park Arts.

This 501(c)(3) corporation has nine members appointed by the president of the corporation with approval of the Board of Directors, and is subject to confirmation by the Governing Body. Members serve one, two and three year terms.

Meetings generally are held at 5 p.m., the third Tuesday of every month in the Training Room of the Myron E. Scafe Building, 8500 Antioch. The public is welcome.
